The catch is campus distance. The University of Manchester's Oxford Road campus is about a 30 minute walk or a 12 minute bus ride. Manchester Metropolitan is a similar bus journey. If you are the kind of person who rolls out of bed 20 minutes before a 9am, that bus ride will grate on you by November.

- Students at The University of Law, BIMM, or Arden University, whose campuses sit closer to the city core
- Anyone who wants to be inside the nightlife and food scene rather than commuting into it
- Students who want the tram and train network on their doorstep for placements or weekend travel

- Nearest supermarkets are small-format Tesco and Sainsbury's stores in the city centre. For a proper weekly shop, most students take the bus or order delivery
- The area is well lit and busy late, which most students find reassuring, but busy also means noisy
- Cycling is realistic here. Manchester's centre is flat and the building has indoor bike storage
