What is the Results Day offer?
Wagamama announced on 23 July 2026 that it is increasing its usual 20% Student Beans discount to 25% off all food and drink for a limited period, to mark A-Level and GCSE Results Days.
The detail that matters most: it is available to students who have completed their A-Levels and GCSEs regardless of their results. You do not need to have got the grades. Nobody is checking your UCAS status at the door.
A-Level results land on Thursday 13 August 2026, with GCSE results the following week. Wagamama has not published an end date for the increased discount, so treat it as a now-or-never thing rather than something to plan around in October.
If you have just finished Year 13 and are about to start university, this is worth knowing about twice over. It applies to you now on results day, and the standard 20% applies to you for the next three or four years.

The Sunday to Thursday rule is the one to remember
Wagamama is not giving you 20% off your Saturday night out. The number of people who discover this when the bill arrives is not small.
If you are organising a group meal and the discount matters, move it to a Thursday. On a table of six that is a meaningful difference.
The drinks inclusion is genuinely unusual
Most restaurant student discounts are food only. A 20% saving that applies to a bottle of wine as well as the katsu curry is rare, and it materially changes the value on an evening meal where drinks are a third of the bill.
Who qualifies?
Anyone over 16 in full-time education. That includes university, college, sixth form and high school. Apprentices qualify too.
Part-time, full-time, distance learning and mature students are all eligible. There is no age ceiling and no requirement to be studying for a first degree.
You need a Student Beans account, which is free and verified with a university or college email address. Verification usually takes minutes but can take up to 24 hours, so do not leave it until you are sitting at the table.
How do you actually claim it?
Sign up to Student Beans, verify your student status, then show your Beans iD to the server. There is no code to enter and nothing to print.
One practical tip that avoids an awkward moment: mention it when you order, not when the bill arrives. Some servers apply it at the point of order, and retrofitting it to a closed bill is a slower conversation than it needs to be.
Is Wagamama actually affordable for students?
Honestly, it is a treat rather than a weekly habit. Wagamama sits mid-range on price, and 20% off a mid-range bill is still a mid-range bill.
Three things improve the maths:
Lunch pricing. Often better value than evening service for effectively the same food.
Sharing small plates. Several small plates between two people frequently works out cheaper than two separate mains, and it is closer to how the menu is designed to be eaten.
Tap water and the 20%. Because the discount covers drinks, ordering a drink you actually want costs proportionally less than at restaurants where the discount is food only. The calculation genuinely differs here.
Worth knowing rather than being surprised by: some of the ramen dishes exceed 1,000 calories, and MSG appears in most of the menu. Neither is a problem for most people, but it comes up often enough to mention.
What about delivery?
Delivery is available through the Wagamama app and website, plus Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Just Eat.
The student discount does not apply to delivery, and delivery platform pricing is frequently higher than in-restaurant pricing before you add fees and service charges.
If you are eating on a budget, dining in with the 20% is substantially cheaper than delivery at full price plus fees. It is not close.
